Understanding credits
Semantico uses a credit model to meter AI generation. This page explains what consumes credits and how to keep track.
What consumes credits
Section titled “What consumes credits”Credits are spent when Semantico runs an AI generation action, such as:
- Generating a description or a name
- Categorizing a product
- Finding and attaching images
- Extracting or generating attributes
- Translating content into another locale
Different actions cost different amounts, and a full generation (which runs several actions at once) costs more than a single action.
Actions that don’t call the AI — creating a product, editing text yourself, or syncing to a store — do not consume credits.
Tracking usage
Section titled “Tracking usage”- Your current balance is always visible in the dashboard.
- Credits are shared across your whole workspace, so everyone on your team draws from the same balance.
- Each generation records the credits it consumed. When you use the
API webhooks, every delivery includes a
creditsobject with the amount consumed and the amount remaining.
Topping up
Section titled “Topping up”When your balance runs low, contact your account manager or support to add more credits. Generation is blocked when a workspace has no active subscription or insufficient balance.
